I never wash the sand off my feet, Florida Film Travel Diaries

If you are ever traveling to Key West, you must just get out and walk the streets- those cobblestone streets. If you've never been to this southernmost paradise, you haven't quite lived yet. A few of my favorite things to do when I'm in Key West include: drinking a margarita at Sunset Festival, watching the street performers, having a root beer barrel at The Green Parrot, taking a snorkel/dive trip on The Fury, line dancing at Cowboy Bills, stopping by Virgilios for local blues/jazz/salsa, hitting up the Lazy Gecko, stopping by Shorty's for a $2 beer just because it's $2, watching the chickens, shopping at Fanta Sea, swimming at Smather's Beach, and stopping in every art gallery I see. I could go on and on.

Basically, just park your car and get out. Rent a bike or a scooter or don't. Get off the beaten path as much as you can. Wear your bathing suit the whole time, every where you go so you're prepared to swim and sweat as much as possible. Wear flip flops so you can dance for hours. If you find a place that serves lobster sliders, eat them. If you find a place that serves local grouper, order it blackened.

As you can see from these photos, I love drinking in all the bright tropical colors. I feel like I'm in color-heaven when I'm there. Everything just looks so inviting. I dream of living in just about every little beach bungalow I see. and I also make it a point to try to never wash the sand off my feet.
