There are some who can live without wild things and some who cannot

"There are some who can live without wild things and some who cannot." -Aldo Leopold

We set out to explore the ice shoves this weekend on the shoreline. Ice shoves, which I had never seen before, are huge piles of ice that push and over time pile up against the lake shoreline due to high winds. After some intense hiking and snowshoeing, we made it down the cliff to the coast where we saw 10+ feet of ice piled high. One thing that I can say I'm super thankful for this winter is the ability to walk on any body of water I want this season. It's truly incredible to be able to see the shoreline from the water side while hiking instead of kayaking or canoeing. Not to mention this Tee Pee we stumbled upon. How amazing is this?!

Stay wild my loves.
