A few of my favorite things: part 2

Happy Friday! And back by popular demand, here are a few more of my favorite things. I don't look very happy in this photo do I? It's the best selfie I could pull off to demonstrate my perfect beach hair. Without further delay, let me start my list of 5 favs....

1. Sea Salt Spray. I am loving this recent find. The one I use is by a brand called Toni & Guy that I bought here in Australia. I have used gel, spray, and foam mousse for over 15 years that has always left my hair crunchy, sticky, and dry. I hated using mousse, but got the best results compared to other products. This spray that is a new discovery for me, and has changed my hair game permanently. It has made my morning routine faster and I believe my hair more beautiful- without having to blow dry it. I love it. It gives me big, soft, natural curls and does not dry out my scalp. Disclaimer: it works best on naturally curly hair.

2. Kale. My new favorite food for a while now. We've been making some serious changes in our household lately with what we are putting in our bodies. My husband and I have both noticed our metabolisms slowing down, and working out hard at the gym is just not giving us the results it used to. We've decided to switch over to eating as natural as possible and are subscribing to the Paleo diet. I hate that it's called "a diet". I like to think of it as more of a lifestyle. No processed foods, no breads, no sugar. It sounded easy when we started, but it's WAY harder than I thought. It has however, given me the results I want though in a matter of a few weeks. It's awesome! Anyway, to get to the Kale. Kale is what's known as a superfood. It's even being called "the new beef". It's low in calorie, high in fiber, and has zero fat. It has been a great dinner substitution for our usual potatoes or rice. One cup of Kale has only 36 calories, 5 grams of fiber, and 0 grams of fat. It is great for aiding in digestion and elimination with its great fiber content. Here are the benefits: is high in iron (has more iron than beef), is high in Vitamin K, C, and A (great for your skin and prevention of cancers), and per calorie has more calcium than milk (which is great for preventing osteoporosis ladies!). I can't say enough about this vegetable. I highly recommend incorporating it into your weekly diet. My favorite way to prepare it is with a little olive oil (1/2 tablespoon) in a frying pan.

3. Sun Bum Lip Balm with SPF 30. My favorite local sunscreen brand has done it again! Mango, Key Lime, Pomegranate, Coconut, and Banana- loving all the new flavors! Key Lime is my favorite lately. I use them daily and when I go out, under my lipstick as a moisturizer.

4. Washi tape. Super fun, thin tape I use to dress up my letters and craft projects.

5. Stackable rings. Rings are my favorite accessory, and i love that these can be worn individually or all together.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
