Finally the Farm

This weekend was spectacular. The exploring around our home just outside of Melbourne has only just begun. We finally made it to a nearby farm I've been dying to visit. It's one of those places that's nothing over the top really, and you know it, but there are signs leading up to the entrance boasting of amazing cheese, ice-cream, and farm animals you can "cuddle with". I mean how can you not stop at a place like this?! We did it up right and had grilled cheese sandwiches, to die for vanilla ice cream (with real vanilla in it), and yes I cuddled some goats. We visited a local winery that afternoon and basically just enjoyed our drive through the hills, along the ocean, windows down, with complete disregard for what time it was. I love those kinda spontaneous days.

 Milk factory.

 Watching the cows get milked.

And the winery. This one was a find. Imagine dirt road, fields and fields of grape vines, overlooking the ocean. It was beautiful. Really, I think this describes a lot of the wineries in Victoria though.

Baby grapes.

Walkway entrance.

Inside everything was haphazardly and perfectly placed at the same time. The building was full of beautiful Eucalyptus tables that were built with old singer sewing machines as the base. When we entered, we were greeted by a sweet older gentleman who served us some of the best wine I've ever tasted. I wish I would have asked him if I could take a picture of him, but I didn't. He had two older dogs running around the property and told us this was his retirement.

I'd like to drink my Chardonnay overlooking the ocean in the sunshine please.
